Developing a Driving Question Board

Developing a Driving Question Board

Tiffany teaches environmental science in Chattanooga, TN. Her students explored patterns in headlines related to local and national climate events. They observed that while some areas of the country are experiencing increased drought, Tennessee is seeing more extreme flooding. Students created an initial model to explain the causes of these different patterns. They then used gaps in their understanding and their own questions to develop a Driving Question Board that will guide their investigations throughout the unit.
